The Eternal Search for the Tree

The Eternal Search for the Tree

Everything in my life focuses on one single activity: the hunt for the Tree. I am seeking the very special Tree itself.

People shared stories about the tree using wind-based communications and storytelling traditions.

When I started finding the Tree my purpose remains unclear even though an unstoppable drive directed me on this challenging journey. Right after I heard the tale for the first time I thought my life mission would be to locate the Tree.

The first time I listened to the story was during my childhood years. I spent my time with my grandfather in the small house where my family lived. Our talk took place beside a blazing fire as its flames sent shadows throughout the room. With careful tone he spoke words that blended into the path of my life.

According to him the heart of Earth holds a one-of-a-kind tree. It is unlike any other. The tree sends its roots down into the soil while reaching beyond the sky to its highest point. Life begins and knowledge lives inside its material according to separate groups of people. According to tradition finding the tree leads to receiving wisdom that human minds cannot fully understand.

He stopped to let his words lay quietly before focusing his human understanding on me. “But the tree is elusive.

People who put their own needs first cannot locate this understanding. It chooses its own seekers. Meanwhile the heart does not show itself until both time and mindset are suitable for exploration.

I didn’t understand then. The young boy wanted to experience everything life offered him as part of his desire for new experiences. The story left a lasting impact on me from that moment onwards. The sight of the mystical tree imprinted its image in my mind. Ever since then I understood my next step. I had to find that tree.

The pursuit started for me after multiple passing years. I took my most important items and traveled toward my future. When I started my search I drifted after weak clues because they seemed to show me the right path. I walked through forests as trees told me their hidden knowledge and across deserts under scorching sun with endless sand beneath my feet and up mountains whose thin air roared in the dark.

As I traveled I found other people also on their pursuit. The tree's existence brought multiple seekers together including myself but there were others here without knowledge of it looking to find it the same way I was. I understood their life stories as they told me how happy they felt and also about their emotional pain. But being the only one looking for this tree made me feel accepted by them yet alone in my pursuit. People around me failed to grasp the exact thing I desired to find. According to various individuals the tree existed solely as a myth used to create stories at night.

I kept searching for the tree over decades because I did not go back home believing I would be the first to uncover it. During my travels I discovered beautiful sights yet did not spot the tree. I searched for the tree but nearly every discovery of a lovely tree turned out to be a regular tree after all. Each experience that failed to deliver my goal pushed me forward. I had to. The image of the tree kept calling me from the distance its roots and branches stretched never to reach.

As time passed I reached my senior years while waiting to find the reflective tree. My hair changed to gray while my physical strength weakened. All possibility of being known as rich or famous vanished from my hopes years earlier. I focused entirely on the tree because it became my sole desire. I stopped thinking about my past existence since I dedicated myself to pursuing the tree. Those days had become distant recollections of life before.

One day I located what I sought after.

As I walked through an overgrown forest the fog created thick air that surrounded me when a particular sight caught my attention. When I first tasted the energy in the environment I didn't notice the special tree yet since the atmosphere started buzzing softly. I advanced faster toward the location feeling my heartbeat accelerate because the sensation strengthened.

And then I saw it.

The tree towered in front of me with its tall figure and had golden bark with leaves that emitted an otherworldly shine. Both ends of the tree connected to our world while its body spread up through the atmosphere and below the earth. Everyone present detectilized a special energy radiating from the place. I felt that I stepped into another world because every inch of the land had become holy.

The number of minutes passed unnoticed since I stared at the tree. I remained at peace during that instant while also feeling strong inner sadness. This experience made me realize I found the tree as my search ended. My search for this purposeless goal occupied my entire life cycle. My dedicated search for the tree had made me unaware of how to live in the current moment. The tree offered understanding but people could not find it through simple searching alone.

I took small steps toward the tree while my hands shook as I wanted to feel its surface. When I touched the tree my sensitivity increased and my awareness of truths and pictures overwhelmed my consciousness. Through its long life the tree revealed its history because it had endured numerous generations and seen many changes in society. It silently observed every major achievement and tragedy that ever occurred worldwide in its long existence. The tree continued its simple existence without waiting for me as if time had no effect on it.

At this instant my mind grasped the correct interpretation.

The tree had no worth to obtain. One could not take it home as a possession. This symbolized both human life experiences within a complete circle and the passing of time through its stages. You cannot own these particular elements of life you must simply explore them for yourself. Finding the tree served as my life's purpose yet the tree itself did not represent the last stage of my pursuit. The journey was.

I chose a spot under the shade of its branches and left my mark on the ground as I wrote. I put all my knowledge onto paper by recording its history and difficulties plus useful information. This would be my legacy. My search carried me to this spot to learn and now through writing I will leave guidance for other seekers who follow.

I easily wrote down my thoughts as words appeared from my pen just like a river breaking through a blocked dam. After discovering the wisdom of the tree I detailed my search process together with its life teachings through my writing. I documented all the people and places that impacted my global perspective through my written account. I mainly discussed the tree's teachings which showed me traveling is about personal development rather than arriving at your target.

After completing my observation I turned my gaze back to the tree. Morning sunshine now passed through the leafy canopy while the morning fog started to fade away. As I smiled inwardly I realized my effort to find this tree had succeeded.

I had found the tree. When I found the tree I also discovered what was true.

The end.
